Dieng Plateau is a remarkable highland located in Central Java, Indonesia. Dieng Plateau is situated at an altitude of around 2,000 meters above sea level, making it one of the coolest destinations in Java.

The plateau is surrounded by mountains and volcanic peaks, offering stunning panoramic views. Due to its elevation, the climate in Dieng is cooler compared to the surrounding lowlands, with temperatures sometimes dropping below freezing point during the night.

Dieng potatoes have a much better shelf life than potatoes from other regions, the low water content of Dieng potatoes is what makes Dieng potatoes not easily rotten. Apart from that, the carbohydrate and sugar content is very low, which is very good for health.
